Joshua and Laura Mathis, Iola, announce the birth of a daughter, Mariah Evelyn, born Aug. 15, 2011, at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center in Chanute.
She weighed 7 pounds, 4 ounces and was 19 inches long.
Maternal grandparents are Frederick Gampper, Sierra Vista, Ariz., and the late Nancy Gampper of Iola, and paternal grandparents are Roger and Linda Mathis, Yates Center. Great-grandparents are Gene and Claudette Anderson, Colony, Margaret Gampper, Lenexa, and Geraldine Mathis, Illinois.
