Daniel and Lindsy Hurt, Humboldt, announce the birth of a son, Eliot James, born Aug. 28, 2011, at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center in Chanute. He weighed 9 pounds 3 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches.
Maternal grandparents are the late James and Jeanie Reel, Humboldt, and paternal grandparents are Ron and Marilyn Hurt, Chanute. Great-grandparents are John and Hazel Robb, Humboldt.
