Betty E. Yoho, age 68 of Humboldt, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Diversicare in Chanute. Betty was born on July 16, 1950, to Carl and Pauline (Madison) Grogan in Iola. She married James Yoho in July of 1975 and they were married for 10 years before he passed away in 1985. She then was with Melvin Steele for over 23 years.
Betty was a hard worker and worked in housekeeping at NMRMC and in the warehouse at Gates. She enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, baking, cooking, going to auctions and vegetable gardening. Betty most of all loved her family and spending time with her grandkids.
Betty is survived by children Angie Reed and husband Gary Pete of Humboldt, Michael Yoho and wife Stephanie of Emporia, Monica Steinbrook of Neosho Falls; siblings Barbara Wilson of Iola, Janice Puchett of Chanute, Dwight Grogan of Colony; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, parents and sisters Joan Dix and Marilyn K. Seeley.
Cremation has been requested. A memorial service will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home in Humboldt.
