Ron Burris, Colony, received a Quilt of Valor on July 29 at the LaHarpe Veterans of Foreign Wars post.
During the 1960s, Burris served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam and with the Navy Seabees in Puerto Rico.
Members of the East Central Kansas Quilters club give the quilts to veterans from Anderson and Coffey counties.
