Carla Capper presided over Thursday’s Wings of Warriors meeting at the Gas Community Building.

The organization has delivered 14 gift cards since Feb. 3, including five new recipients.

The Ride For Life Car that transports cancer patients for out-of-county medical care was used twice in the past month, Mary Ann Ritter reported. Members agreed to pay for the driver’s lunch.

Wings of Warriors will serve a Brown Bag Special meal from noon to 3 p.m. April 26 at King’s Sandwich Shop in Iola. Only pick-up meals will be served due to the COVID-19 virus pandemic.

The sponsorship drive is complete, and T-shirts will be ordered. Members agreed to go with a white-on-gray coloring.

Damaris Kunkler of A Bolder Humboldt spoke about learning how to write grants.

The next meeting is April 9.
