The February meeting of the Square B 4-H club was held Monday at the Allen County Courthouse. There were two guests at the meeting. The flag salute and the 4-H Pledge were led by Drake Mathew and Josh Wanker.
Since the club’s community service project is on recycling, members were encouraged to participate in the Rotary Club’s recycling program, which is held the first Saturday of every month from 8:30 to 11 a.m.
Carly Kramer gave a demonstration on how to break a horse. Travis Wanker gave an illustrated talk on what should be in a first aid kit in a vehicle.
The meeting was adjourned, and it was followed by recreation. Club members were challenged to balance a cookie on their foreheads and then get it into their mouths without touching it with their hands. Bryce Culbertson showed the club how to make origami throwing stars.
The next meeting will be at 7 p.m. March 9 at the courthouse.
