The value of small businesses to a community will be highlighted on Saturday, Nov. 26.
Known as Small Business Saturday, the day is akin to Black Friday and Cyber Monday, which feature big box retail and e-commerce stores correspondingly.
Small Business Saturday presents shoppers with a distinctive occasion to show support for local businesses.
More than ever, this year’s small business community would appreciate your support as they have faced numerous challenges over the last two years including COVID-19, labor shortages and shipping delays.
Some facts to remember:
Small businesses have generated 12.9 million net new jobs over the past 25 years, accounting for two out of every three jobs added to the economy;
In 2021, 51 million shoppers participated in Small Business Saturday;
More than 50% of Americans say they will shop small on Small Business Saturday.
I encourage you to shop local — every day of the year!
