4-H Club plans 'Bring a Friend Night' in June, will put out flags with Moran Ruritan on Memorial Day weekend.

Prior to the Priarie Rose 4-H Club’s February meeting, members participated in a service project and made non-skid socks for the Moran Manor. Over 50 pairs of socks were donated. 

Fourteen members were present at February’s meeting.

President Zoi Yoho led the business meeting.  Reports from officers were approved as read. Kason Botts, Junior Secretary, read the minutes from last month’s meeting. 

Committee reports were given by project leaders. Jennifer Jackman reported on the Safety Committee project and handed out calendars.  Kelci Botts, leader of the Cloverbuds reported that there would be a meeting Feb. 11 at 3:30 p.m.. Brenda Armstrong, Food Leader reported that the food members met and made snacks for after the meeting.

The club voted to have a Bring A Friend Night, June 14.  They also voted to put out flags with the Moran Ruritan on Memorial weekend.

Community Leader Kim Schomaker reported the results of 4-H Day.  She also reminded livestock leaders that they have a meeting Feb. 12 5:30 p.m. at the Extension Office. 

Talks were given by Zoi Yoho on bees and Kooper Welch gave a demonstration on how to make garlic bread.

The next meeting will be March  8, 5:00 p.m. at the Moran Senior Citizens Center.  This will be Junior Officer Night.

Following the meeting the club enjoyed pizza, snacks, popcorn and a movie.
