Arrest reported

Matthew J. Wilson, who was wanted on multiple arrest warrants stemming from burglary and theft charges, was arrested in Iola Sunday.

Iola police officers and Allen County sheriff’s deputies arrested Wilson in the 10 block of North Walnut Road East.

Wilson apparently was found trying to hide in a closet, deputies reported.

Wilson was booked into Allen County jail on three warrants, two from Iola for failing to appear in court, and one from Allen County related to the burglary and theft charges.

Iolans arrested

Iola police officers arrested Jessica Waggoner, 36, Iola, for suspected interference with a law enforcement officer and a warrant out of Missouri for charges of delivery of a controlled substance and non-support.

Waggoner was arrested after officers were called to a disturbance in the 600 block of North Cottonwood Street Dec. 27. While at the scene, officers also arrested Millard Ferguson, 53, Iola, for suspected obstructed apprehension for prosecution.

Theft alleged

Iola police reported John Carper was involved in a suspected beer theft from Pump N Pete’s in the 700 block of North State Street on Christmas Day.
