Arrests reported

Iola police officers arrested Derrick Miller, 33, and Jeremiah Miller, 30, both of Iola, for suspicion of domestic violence Saturday in the 200 block of North Washington Avenue.

On Saturday, Zachary Ulrich, 18, Iola, was arrested for suspected trespassing at Dollar General in the 2000 block of North State Street.

An accident in the 1500 block of North State Street Friday led to the arrest of Amanda Vanzant, 30, Iola, for suspicion of possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia, aggravated endangering child, interference with law enforcement, driving while suspended, no seat belt, no child passenger safety restraint system and speeding.

Accident reported

Khaleb Travis of Lilly’s Towing was moving a vehicle Friday afternoon in the 400 block of South Buckeye Street, when the vehicle — which had no brakes — rolled into a garage, causing minor damage, officers said.

Grill stolen

Charlie Bell told officers Friday a barbecue grill had been stolen from his residence in the 400 block of North Buckeye Street. The grill, valued at about $50, was taken sometime after March 13, Bell said

Theft reported

Iola police officers were called to Walmart Sunday for a reported shoplifting case.

An investigation continues.
