Pickup hit

Mark W. McMahan was stopped on West Lincoln Street Wednesday, waiting to turn onto State Street, when his pickup was struck from behind by a pickup driven by Brodie J. Holmes, Iola police officers reported.

McMahan suffered possible injuries, officers said. Neither Holmes nor a passenger riding with McMahan were injured. All were wearing seat belts.

Vehicles collide

Marilyn R. Davis was northbound in the 400 block of North State Street Thursday in her sport utility vehicle Thursday morning, when Iola police officers said she abruptly changed lanes and attempted to stop.

Tasha L. Goddard was following Davis in her pickup, and attempted to avoid a collision, but was unable to do so. The collision caused Davis’s vehicle to spin off the roadway, officers said.

Davis suffered possible injuries, officers reported.

Vehicle vandalized

Franklin Handley told Iola police officers Friday somebody flattened one of the tires to his vehicle while it was parked in the 700 block of North Washington Avenue.
