Parked car hit
Titus L. Jones was southbound on South Buckeye Street the evening of Feb. 4, when he lost control of the pickup he was driving and struck a parked car owned by Richard Womelsdorf.
Jones fled the scene, Iola police officers said, and was issued a citation.
He was not injured in the accident just north of Spruce Street.
Teen arrested
Iola police officers arrested Indira Trester, 14, for suspicion of possessing marijuana at Iola High School Feb. 4.
Burglary reported
Iolan Christian Gin told police officers Tuesday his home had been burglarized in the 400 block of North Ohio Street and items taken.
