Arrests reported

Iola police officers arrested Cody Mefford, 32, Iola, for suspected driving while intoxicated Saturday in the 300 block of North Buckeye Street.

Phil Churning, 35, Iola, was arrested Nov. 22 for suspected driving while suspended and no insurance in the 400 block of North Chestnut Street.

Vehicle theft reported

Eddie Radford told Iola police Friday his vehicle, a 2000 Ford F-150 pickup, was stolen from his residence in the 100 block of North Third Street. The vehicle contained a chest freezer, two automotive batteries, a pair of tool boxes, a spare tire, two cases of bottled water and assorted hand tools, Radford said.

Assault reported

Iola police officers fielded a report Sunday of a 13-year-old juvenile being assaulted in the 600 block of East Street.

Prosecution of two juvenile suspects has been requested through the Allen County attorney’s office.

Medication stolen

Samantha Legrande told Iola police Thursday several types of prescription medication had been stolen from her vehicle.

Bicycle recovered

Officers recovered a Hawthorne bicycle Friday in Canary Circle in Iola.

The owner may claim the bike by contacting the Iola Police Department.

Dog bite reported

Shaun Auten told police Nov. 22 he was bit by a dog in the 700 block of East Street. The dog’s owner was identified.
