Iola forensics teams shine

Iola’s High School did some serious gold mining Saturday.

Iola split its speech and drama students into two teams, one competing at Marmaton Valley High School; the other in Pittsburg.

The results were impressive.

Iola took home first place at the Pittsburg Invitational, nabbing seven first-place finishes in the process.

Meanwhile, the other team took home several top finishes in finishing third overall at the Marmaton Valley meet.
