NEODESHA — Iola High School’s forensics team kicked off the 2023 competitive speech and drama season in grand style Jan. 28 in winning the Neodesha Invitational.

Individual results:

Original Oration: Hailey Stogsdill, second place.

Informative Speaking: Luke Wicoff, first.

Impromptu Speaking: Macie Hoag, first; Luke Wicoff, fifth.

Oral Interpretation of Prose: Max Andersen, first; Cole Moyer, second; Kendall Glaze, third; Alyssa Williams, fourth; Madelyn Ashworth, fifth.

Oral Interpretation of Poetry: Shaun McLaughlin, first; Hailey Stogsdill, fourth.

Humorous Solo Acting: Macie Hoag, first; Cole Moyer, second.
