At Sunday’s Colony Christian Church, Howard Reiter gave the Communion Meditation titled “Knowing God,” reading Psalm 96. God is present everywhere. He brings comfort and hope and peace through all the trials we may face. It is life-changing to know him personally.

Pastor Chase Riebel gave his sermon, “Putting God 1st: We believe in the Holy Spirit.” The most important choice we will ever make is to either accept or reject Jesus. Jesus discussed with his disciples that he must leave in order to send the Advocate to us. The Advocate is the Holy Spirit and he will never leave us. The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin and of God’s righteousness and coming judgment. When we are under the control of our sinful nature, we cannot please God.
