Pastor Steve Traw presented his sermon Sunday, “The Resurrection.” The scripture reading came from Mark 16:1-18.

Mary Magdalene and Salome went to the tomb with spices to anoint Jesus. They were worried about moving the very large stone, but it was rolled away.

Upon entering the tomb they were told that Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified, had risen.

The two women were to tell the disciples and Peter that Jesus was going to Galilee. Mary told others of their meeting, but they did not believe it.

Jesus told them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.”

Easter Sunday started off with an early breakfast. Myrna Wildschuetz started the service playing “The Holy City.” Rita Sanders played special music called, “The King is Coming.”
