Pastor Steve Traw continues to regain his health and preached this week from Exodus 20:8-10.
His message was “Sunday or Sabbath.”
Remember to keep the Sabbath holy. This is a positive commandment. Try to live with the law, not under it. Live in grace, but live to honor God.
The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.
It’s God’s gift to people just as he rested on the seventh day of creation. It is for renewal, both spiritual and physical.
The word Sabbath means cease or to rest. He blessed it and made it holy. Set time aside for God’s work. God is not just for special occasions, so work out time to honor God.
Prayers are requested for Pastor Traw’s continued healing.
Easter is coming fast. Palm Sunday is April 13. Maundy Thursday is April 17 with a communion service at 7 p.m.
The church plans to have an Easter potluck breakfast at 8 a.m., April 20, in the Fellowship Hall.
