David and Phyllis Loomis presided over the First Sunday Advent Candle Lighting service on “Hope.”
The Believers hope is in Jesus Christ who is our High Priest forever. (Hebrews 6:19-20)
Pastor Steve Traw’s message “Take Hold of the Hope” was taken from Hebrews 6:13-20.
Guest pianist Glen Cunningham played “Burdens are Lifted at Calvary” for the prelude and “My Faith Looks Up to Thee” for the offertory. Glen also provided the special music, playing “The First Noel and Joy to the World” on his trumpet.
Celebrating birthdays this week are David Ensminger on Tuesday, Nov. 30, and Evelyn Lay on Thursday, Dec. 2.
Special thanks to all who helped in “hanging of the greens” and preparing the church facilities for Christmas.
