New officers kicked off a new year for the Allen County Multi-Agency Team (ACMAT).

The group met Tuesday via Zoom with a new chairman, Carol Olson, presiding.

Officers are Matt Stuckey, vice chairman; Kristin Wright, treasurer; and Vickie Moss, secretary. Other board members are Michelle Meiwes and Robin Griffin-Lohman.

The group heard results of a coalition assessment from Lisa Frey Blume with the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. Members discussed the survey, and focused on a few key areas for improvement.

The organization needs to better publicize its work and presence in the community, members said. Another priority is to develop strategies for new member orientation.

In other business, the group voted to join both the Iola and Humboldt Chambers of Commerce.

ACMAT is a coalition of organizations and individuals that collaborate and share information to improve the lives of people in Allen County. The group meets at noon on the first Tuesday of each month, currently via Zoom.
