Jack and Bonnie Sutterby will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, July 23.
A private family celebration will be hosted by Jason and Rebecca Sutterby.
Jack is the son of Walter and Faith Sutterby. Bonnie is the daughter of Charles “Bud” and Edith Hill.
They were married July 23, 1972, at Colony. Their children are Monica (Mike) Hill, Garnett, and Jason (Rebecca) Sutterby, Savonburg. Grandchildren are Lane Sutterby, Hillsboro, Colt (Haley) Sutterby, St Joseph, Mo., Clay Sutterby, Pittsburg; and great-granddaughter, Collins Marie Sutterby.
They resided at the family farm in Mapleton during their entire marriage. Both work on the farm.
Bonnie was a home economics teacher at Blue Mound High School and later a para at Marmaton Valley Elementary School.
They are members of Mapleton Methodist Church.
