Franklin County to lease hospital
OTTAWA Franklin County commissioners cleared the way for Ransom Memorial Hospital to join AdventHealth under a lease. The hospitals board of trustees signed a letter of intent to affiliate with AHS in late August, kicking off a 120-day due diligence period. The county needed to approve entering into a real estate and personal property lease, and give the hospital board authority to lease the hospital and certain operations. The county retains title to the hospital, real and personal property. Under the agreement, AdventHealth will infuse at least $10 million in increased capital in the next 10 years, including an upgrade to the information technology infrastructure. It also would assume the hospitals liability and debt.
