Robert and Roberta West, Colony, will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary on April 24.
Robert West and Roberta McGhee were married April 24, 1946, in Le Roy.
He is a retired farmer and a World War II veteran having served in the U.S. Army as a medic from 1942 to 1946. She is a retired teacher of 42 years who also substituted for eight years. She enjoys sewing and is active in her church.
The couple’s children include a daughter, Ronda West, Colony, a son, Randy and his wife, Karon, Colony, and a daughter, Kylie Moon and her husband, Jon, of Lee’s Summit, Mo. They have six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
