Mel and Linda Higginbotham Guenther celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary March 20.
Mel worked in financing in Bartlesville, Tulsa and Ponca City, Okla. He retired as a vice president at Plaza Bank in Bartlesville. Linda worked at Barbara’s Beauty Shop, John & Phil’s True Value Hardware, Dcal Computer and retired from the Washington County clerk’s office in Bartlesville.
The couple returned to Carlyle upon retiring in 2006. They have two daughters, Christina Boynton, Richardson, Texas, and Catherine Evans and her husband, Eric, Bartlesville; four grandchildren, Kendra Davis, Chase and Kourtney Evans, Bartlesville, and Catherine Boynton, Richardson; and a great-grandson, Collen Davis, Bartlesville.
