Les and Rita Dietrich, Colony, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Friday.
Les Dietrich, son of the late John and Roberta Dietrch, and Rita Jones, daughter of the late Bill and Juanita Jones, were married Dec. 31, 1960, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Iola. Monsignor Charles Regan officiated. Tom Dietrich served as best man. Marilyn Page was matron of honor.
The couple will renew their wedding vows at 7 p.m. Friday at St. John’s Catholich Church and Family Center.
Hosts for the celebration are Mary (Dietrich) Bennett and her husband, Bob; John Dietrich and Daphne Wertz; Tim Dietrich and his wife, Shaney, and Wesley Dietrich and his wife, Stacy; their five grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
A card shower is planned. The couple request no gifts.
