On Sunday, Leo and Lena Thummel celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary at a family barbecue in Iola.
Leo Thummel and Lena Schulte were married June 29, 1950, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Plainville.
The couple have four children, Ronda Barnow and her husband, Doug, Rodger Thummel and his wife, Jacque, Jerry Thummel and his wife, Sharon, and Janet Wilson and her husband, Robert. They have eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
