Larry “Earl” Maloney and Janice Leann Tremain were married at 5 p.m. on June 7, 1962 in Fort Scott, by Mr. Waters, Justice of Peace.
Earl is the son of the late Joe and Helen Maloney. Janice is the daughter of the late James and Loreta Tremain. All were lifelong residents of Iola.
Earl and Janice were born and raised in Iola, they moved to Colorado with their son Ricky in 1970. Earl was a construction superintendent for 33 years while Janice worked in the health care field before they both retired in 2003, they soon moved back to Fort Scott, to live out their lives on the farm.
Their son Rick Maloney and his boys, Matthew and Cody, are hosting an anniversary celebration on June 9 at the farm.
