David and Ruth Spangler, Moran, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. June 13 in Fellowship Hall at Moran Christian Church.
Ruth Houk and David Spangler were married June 12, 1960, in Moran Christian Church. They are both graduates of Moran High School’s class of 1960. The couple lived in Overland Park and Moran during their 50-years together. He worked in both locations as a barber. She worked at Emprise Bank for many years. They owned the Moran Lumber Company for several years during the 1970s and 1980s.
Hosts for the celebration will be their son, Jon, daughter, Julie Cole and her husband Russell, and their children, Mindy Covey and her husband, Mike, and Adam and Gavin Cole.
