William R. “Bob” and Linda Watson, Iola, will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary with a 10 a.m. Feb. 20 vow renewal during Sunday Mass at St. John’s Catholic Church.
A reception will follow from 2 to 4 p.m. at St. John’s Parish Center, 315 South St.
Bob Watson and Linda Lackey Reilly were married Feb. 13, 1971, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Iola. The Rev. Michael O’Malley performed the ceremony. The couple were attended by Phil and Shirley Pugh. The couple made their home at 201 S. Oak for 35 years prior to moving to their current home at 427 Kennedy Ave.
Hosts for the anniversary celebration will be the couple’s children, Katy and Eric Myers, Overland Park, and Stephanie and Mike Sager, Troy, Mo. The couple have five grandchildren.
The couple requests no gifts, your presence will be their gift.
