Kansas Bankers Awards to four area farm families were presented at the annual meeting of the Allen County Soil Conservation District. Receiving the 1964 awards were Mr. and Mrs. Richard Woolrey of Kincaid, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Nichols of Colony, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Lee Johnson of Elsmore and Mr. and Mrs. George Beeman of Moran.

Leo L. Kent was elected chairman of the board of Allen County State Bank, and John Bertoncino Jr. as president at the annual meeting of directors and stockholders. Kent was also chosen to serve as assistant trust officer of the bank. Benson Barber will be vice president and trust officer.
