Iolas newest recreational facility, a 15-acre projected lake near the shale mound in Bassett, is finally on the way to becoming a reality. Water from a Lehigh fire hydrant started flooding the area Saturday. If Elm Creek keeps flowing, the pumping will continue until the area has a depth of about four feet. When the process is complete, the general public will be invited to use the lake for boating, skating or fishing.
