Zona Mansfield

Zona Ruth (Ross) Mansfield, 78, Chanute, formerly of Iola, died Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center in Chanute.
Ruth was born May 22, 1935, in Iola, the daughter of Howard “Guss” and Zona (Culbertson) Ross. She graduated from Iola High School and had worked in banking all of her life.
Survivors include three daughters, Julie Follmer and Stacy Carpenter (Shane), Chanute, and Kit Rogers, Humboldt; brother Howard Ross (Peggy), Iola; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Humboldt. Private family inurnment will be in the City of Gas Cemetery at a later date. Memorials are suggested to Arthritis Foundation or CASA (Court Appointed Children’s Advocacy). Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel, Iola, assisted the family.
