Strickler Dairy Farm played host to dozens of legislators, dairymen, industry experts and dairy marketing pros on Friday. “The most important thing we can do as dairymen,” Steve Strickler told those who gathered for the Kansas Dairy Association-sponsored event, “is educate the consuming public.” The theme of Friday’s tour was technology. At left, visiting dignitaries, including Ninth District Rep. Kent Thompson (glasses) and 13th District Rep. Larry Hibbard (hat), and Kelly Bastion of the Dairy Farmers of America,  were shown how robots, drones, wi-fi, auto-steer tractors, transponders, cameras and other recent inventions have transformed the dairy industry.
